I’m not sure how much you all know about me, but know this. I hate bad smells. I have cats and dogs and 4 humans in my house. So when I was given the opportunity to review a new essential oil diffuser, I jumped for joy and counted my lucky stars.
This all started a few weeks ago when the opportunity to review a diffuser came to my notice. When I realised that it was for pumping essential oil into the air, I practically begged to be included in the review group. Thankfully I was picked and I got the essential oil diffuser sent out to me, for free, to test out. Let’s face it, I might have gotten it for free but when has that stopped me from giving an honest review? Exactly. So, onwards we go.
When the box arrived in the post, I was so excited to see it! I even filmed a YouTube video showing me opening it all up and having a little go with it.
What you need to know about Organic Aromas essential oil diffuser
This is one of those items that looks very simple but when you look at the information sheet, your mind might boggle. First of all, it uses Bernoulli’s principle to make the oil go into the air. This is a physics thing which basically means that the oil gets turned into little, tiny, micro-particles and into the air. This fine mist is easily absorbed by the body which is great if you want to use it for meditation and relaxation. And believe it or not, this is all done without heat or water. This is something that I’m a big fan of. I don’t like using the normal oil burners with tealights because it damages the oil. And trying to get that icky, burnt oil clean is always a nightmare.
Once I had it out of the box and had a bit of a fiddle with it, I was really happy with the diffuser. First of all, it’s really easy to use. There is a nob at the back that you turn that controls the power and the strength of the oil. And when the power is on, the diffuser lights up with a mood light. Call me a saddo but I think that this is a great idea. Although the diffuser doesn’t use heat, I don’t like the thought of leaving it switched on by accident. I know the light is probably for ambience but I think it’s a handy safety measure.
When the essential oil diffuser is running, it runs in bursts. For 2 minutes the oil is diffused into the air, then it stops for 1 minute. Once the minute break is up, the cycle starts again and it will continue for 2 hours. Once the two hours is up, the diffuser shuts down but the lights remain on. I assume this is to remind you that it’s still on. When the two-hour cycle is up, if you want to start it up again, all you need to do is turn the nob on the back to the off position, and then switch it back on. Easy peasy.
Final thoughts on the Organic Aromas essential oil diffuser
Having a diffuser in the house was always going to be a winner for me but I didn’t realise how much I would like it. Sure, it was great for spreading a nice smell around the place, but it’s how it works and does it that is really impressive. Because there is no heat or water to wreck the oil, when you smell it, it’s so pure. In fact, it is so pure that you can taste it. I decided to use a sweet orange oil that I had, and I was shocked. Yes, it smelt great, but when I licked my lips a while later, I could taste orange oil on my lips. Isn’t that awesome?!? Yes, I know, I’m very sad for getting excited over that but it shows that it actually works.
