It can be tough to get traffic to your blog sometimes, but it is possible to drive the traffic back to your site. Thankfully, because I have been in the blogging industry for a while now, I have discovered some tricks to help get that much-desired traffic to your site.
Because we live in a world where money is needed to survive, Latte Lindsay runs a number of affiliate programmes and offers paid/sponsored content. If you choose to click the links and read the posts, the site may earn a commission or receives a payment. All of the opinions are my own. Opinions expressed here are author’s alone, not those of any partner brands/company(s), beauty & lifestyle brands, airlines or hotel chain, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any of these entities unless specified.
Commenting on other blogs and your own
It might seem strange but commenting on other blogs can help to send traffic to your blog. A lot of bloggers want to support each other and you can drop a link to your own blog in their comments section. Not only does allow other people to find your blog, but it can also be good for SEO and DA. And having good SEO and a higher DA will equal more traffic. Make sure that you have a comments section on your own blog for people to leave you comments too and encourage people to leave a message.
Create fresh content
When it comes to content, you need to keep creating fresh content for your blog. It is tough to keep creating content and there are times that every blogger hits a brick wall with ideas. But, you have got to keep trying and focus on creating fresh and exciting content for your readers on a regular basis. One thing that you can do is look for inspiration from other bloggers and see what they are writing about, but don’t steal content, that’s just horrible.
There are so many different social media platforms that you can share your content so why shouldn’t you take advantage of them? A lot of websites rely on social media to get traffic, which is great, but don’t rely on all of your traffic coming from social media. I’ll be honest, it can be fickle and Facebook will try and make you pay for people to see your posts. But, if you can build up a fan base (starting with your friends and family) and get them to like and share your posts so they can reach plenty of people.
Pinterest posts and pictures
Pinterest is one of the best ways to share content for your website. Pinterest can be a goldmine for bloggers if you can use it properly. Good pictures can translate to massive traffic for your site. Pinterest is always changing how pins are found but a good quality picture for a post can be all that you need to get thousands of hits on your site. Experiment with different pictures and see what works for you. But don’t forget to add descriptions to your pins otherwise they will get lost in the depths of Pinterest.
Join bloggers groups on Facebook
There are so many different Facebook groups that you can join to help grow your site. One thing that you need to remember is that different groups have different rules. So, one group might allow you to drop links willy-nilly, another will have treads for shares. Some groups are for blogs and social media, others are blogger groups that focus purely on social media. You can join loads of different groups and get stuck in with the action.
