The Best Erotic and Romance Novels

The Best Erotic and Romance Novels

Books are great, they can transport you to another world and let you discover so much about the world without having to leave your armchair. Sure TV, can do that too, but there is something so much more intimate and personal when you read a book. Your imagination takes over and you can see things more vividly than you would watching it on a screen. So, it makes sense that erotic and romance novels are so popular around the world.

Because we live in a world where money is needed to survive, Latte Lindsay runs a number of affiliate programmes and offers paid/sponsored content. Opinions expressed here are author’s alone, not those of any partner brands/company(s), beauty & lifestyle brands, airlines or hotel chain, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any of these entities unless specified.

Here is a random fact, when it comes to ladies and achieving the big O, some people believe that women do it best with some mental stimulation. That’s why erotic and romance novels are so popular with women. Here are some of the best and most popular books for a bit of bedtime reading, if ya know what I mean *wink wink*.

Mills and Boon

You might be shocked to see Mills and Boon on this list but they are the UK’s number one romance publisher. You probably remember seeing the old books on your granny nightstand and thought that they were cheesy romance novels for old people. I’m sure there are those of you who want to read about the lady of the manor doing it with the stable boy, but the company has moved with the times too. Plus, their books are really cheap compared to some of the other racey reads out there.

Sylvia Day

Sylvia Day is one of the top erotic writers out there and all of her sexy novels come highly recommended by her readers. She has tens of millions of copies of her books in print at the moment and there is a huge selection to choose from. The Crossfire series is one of the most popular series and was considered to give 50 Shades a run for its money when it hit the big time. But this isn’t the only series she has written, there is a mountain of erotic novels to wade through that have been penned by Sylvia.

50 Shades of Grey

Ok, we can’t talk about dirty books and not mention 50 Shades. I’ll be honest, the only reason I am giving this any sort of thought is because my boy, Jamie Dornan, is Mr Grey in the movies. Let’s be honest, the books aren’t great and caused a big uproar from the Subs and Doms community. 50 Shades was considered abuse rather than a form of submissive dating. Whatever your view on the subject, there is no denying that it caused a stir and had women biting at the bit to break out the whips and chains with their partners.

Mandy Lee

Mandy Lee is one of the newest romance writers and has been taking Amazon by storm with her first three books. Up until a few years ago, Mandy was a secondary school teacher but gave it up to chase her dream of being a writer. Let’s just hope that she hasn’t used any of her former pupil’s tall tales about getting bucked behind the bike sheds as inspiration for her stories. Actually, on second thought, those tall tales are probably why she started writing sexy stories, gotta show the younger ones how it’s done!

What do you think? Are there any books that you think should be on the list? And do you have a favourite steamy author or book series? Let me know in the comments section if you are a fan of the romance novel. And don’t forget to check out my other posts-
