I love getting a new beauty bag and popping stuff in it, but are we putting the right stuff in there? Here are some essential items for your beauty bag that you will probably need but didn’t realise.

Lippy
It doesn’t matter if you like lip balm or lipstick, you should definitely carry a spare. Personally, I like to carry one of each. The weather can really dry out your lips and make them sore. But when your lips are in good condition, then why shouldn’t you pop some lippy on? But, if you are worried about your lipstick getting ruined with the top popping off (we have all had it happen at some point) then you should invest in Lipstick Holder Case
Compact Foundation
During the day, you might find yourself needing a touchup. The great thing about a compact foundation is that it can be applied with the little sponge that pops inside the case and is normally really easy to blend. You don’t need to bring your full contouring kit when a good compact will work wonders. One of my favourites is Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation
Facewipes
If touch-ups aren’t going to work, you might need to use a wipe so that you can start with a clean slate. Especially if your eyeliner has migrated across your face. Facewipes can help remove makeup, sweat or just make you feel fresher. Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes
Spray
During the day, you might find that you need a bit of a spray to feel a bit fresher. Perfume and body spray can help to give you a pick me up and a freshen if you have been stuck on the tube or in a less than fresh environment. If you are a smoker, you will definitely know how important it is to keep a bottle of body spray handy, I speak from experience here.
Sanitizer
I shouldn’t judge people, but I do, and some people are gross. I watched a guy hold one side of his nose and shoot snot out of the other side just yesterday. Disgusting. People sneeze in their hands and touch stuff in public. Hell! Some people go to the toilet and don’t wash their hands. This is why I carry sanitizer with me everywhere! I also carry anti-bac wipes too because you can never be too careful when it comes to germs.
Hairbrush
I have always carried a spare hairbrush in my bag because long hair can get tangled if it isn’t brushed at least three times a day. That might seem excessive but it is worth taking a few minutes a couple of times a day to help prevent knots and keep your hair smooth. Even using a little travel brush is enough to help keep those knots at bay.
Sanitary stuff
