Lot’s of people ask their kids for advice
When it comes to dating, it can be difficult to get back into the game if you have been out of it for a decade or two. There are loads of parents who are asking their kids for advice when it comes to getting out there again. From profile pictures to what to wear, the older generation is turning to the younger ones to get some help with navigating this new area. This is something you should keep in mind because there is a good chance that your new lover is talking about you to their kids.
Girls just wanna have fun
When you are young, you date the wrong people and have fun. Long-term relationships are not on the cards; instead, you’re more interested in finding a fling. You can use products that contain female pheromones to help you to allure new partners, but usually it goes no further than a one-night stand because that’s all you want. Then, at some point, you change your mind and start looking for someone to marry and have babies with. But when you are older and the baby-making window is shut, you switch back to looking for fun. And there is nothing wrong with this. Just because you are a grown-up with grown-up children doesn’t mean that you need another grown-up relationship. Older people can be set in their ways and lack the spontaneity that someone in their 20’s will have, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have fun.
They like using dating apps
Just because someone is interested in some over 40 dating doesn’t mean that they can’t use technology. In fact, there is a huge amount of websites out there that cater to people of any age, including folks who are dating in later life. If you don’t want to get stuck talking to a bunch of 20-year-olds, there are websites and apps that are suitable for more niche age groups. It can be as simple as popping older-dating.com into your search bar. A lot of older people are using them to take advantage of meeting new people and making new friends.
They don’t mind getting naked
It probably doesn’t surprise anyone that the older generations don’t mind getting their kit off. My dad is pushing 60 and likes to spend the warm weather parading about in his budgie smugglers. Trust me, I’ll be in therapy for a long while dealing with this. Older people do not care what anyone thinks of their body and have a level of confidence that is admirable. They might not have the energy levels of a 20-year-old but they have plenty of experience to make up for getting tired.
Old does not mean low maintenance
I don’t know where this idea came from but I’ve been told that older people are easier to date because they are lower maintenance. This is a lie. In fact, for older women, they have a higher level of maintenance than younger women. The difference is that older women are better organised and have more disposable income. But older men don’t take care of themselves to the same level as younger men which can be off-putting to women of any age.
