Thoughts on the Book

Pasta is a mealtime favourite for a lot of people, myself and my kids are included. There are so many types of pasta, it is clear to see that the variety of pasta is a good comparison of how everyone is different. There are a lot of different themes in the book, friendship between the Pasta Kidz being one of the biggest themes. The pictures within the book are unique and colourful, the perfect combination to help draw a young reader into the world of the Pasta Kidz. At the back of the book, there is a list of colourful characters and the petz so you can learn who else is in the Pasta world. For those of us who would struggle with the pasta language, there is a handy guide at the back of the book too.

Overall

This is a great book for young readers. The pictures by Julian Bray are bright and colourful, and the Pasta Language is very unique. Although there is a list of the Pasta Language at the back of the book, the language is pretty easy to follow. The language reminded me of Roald Dahl and his made-up words, like snozzcumber and whizzpopper.
