The book
This book is a short guide that claims it can help you parent an underachieving child and help them improve their grades. The idea is to follow the methods in the book every day and you will see your kids grades and marks improve. The book is based on the idea that patience and working with your children on their homework are the most important things to help their behaviour and performance.
Thoughts on the Book
This is a short book, only around 50 pages, so it is a quick read. This is ideal for us parents who are tearing our hair with our kids and need a quick fix. And when I say “quick fix”, I mean something that can be read in an hour or two and put into place before your kids get back from school, and doesn’t require 6 weeks of study and a working knowledge of neurotransmitters. This is also a great place to start to help build your parenting knowledge base.
Thoughts on the author
Michal Stawicki is not a child psychologist or development coach of any kind. He is a parent who has taken what he has learned from other parenting books and turned it into a bite-sized treat for the rest of us. In a nutshell, he has done the hard work for us. Does this mean that you shouldn’t read any other parenting book? When it comes to parenting, read all the books you can get your hands on. You are shaping little humans into something wonderful, we need all the help we can get.
