Change Your Environment To Change Your Life

Have you been stuck in a bad place and felt like you can’t move out of it? There are a number of factors that affect our mood and perhaps the biggest is the environment that we’re in. It’s not just the aesthetics such as the four walls surrounding us or the decor design, but the people that are around us too.

Because we live in a world where money is needed to survive, Latte Lindsay runs a number of affiliate programmes and offers paid/sponsored content. Are you stuck in a bad place and feel like you can’t move out of it? There are a number of factors that affect our moods such as the music we listen to and the company we keep; if you’re struggling to decide what instrument to take up visit Violin vs piano. However, you will have to change your environment as well. It’s not just the aesthetics such as the four walls around us or the decor design, it’s the people around us too.

Our mental health is greatly affected by the kind of personalities that we have influenced us all throughout our day. Are some people too negative, or perhaps too inconsistent around you? One day they seem like they’re your friend and the next day they are overly critical. These are the kinds of people you need to avoid. Even people who might seem like you’re friend may be enabling bad habits that you possess. Do you find yourself being too carefree in someone’s presence? Do you do things you wouldn’t normally do? There are so many ways our environment affects us, and literally changing it can change your life for the better.

Dark and gloomy

Just living in a space that is dark and void of natural sunlight can have a downturn affect on our mood. It’s very simple, the less bright sunlight you are exposed to the more melancholy one can become. We need fresh air and a way out toward the natural world. It helps us to feel apart of the environment that we live in and not being cocooned in our own cave. Do you sit at home in your room with the curtains drawn for the most part, even during the day or early afternoon? Many people become hermits and want to avoid contact with the outside world. They didn’t intend to be separate from the rest of the world but they got too comfortable with shutting it out. Change the curtains if you have to, but let natural light into your room. Let the backdrop of a clear blue sky be what you see when you work in your room or on the computer.

Another idea is to make it a point to get out of the house and do something for someone else. For example, giving back and volunteering your time can elevate your mood and put a smile on another person’s face. There are many options out there depending on what you’re passionate about. If you’re interested in education and the arts or health and community community services then consider getting involved with The Dwoskin Family Foundation. This will switch up your environment and make you feel like a productive member of society so you can remove the dark and gloomy.

Habits being enabled

Some people have a jolly personality that can easily rub off onto others. Most people aren’t so outgoing and so we gravitate toward those that make us feel good. We let our hair down around them and become less tense or anxious in social situations. However, certain habits that should be avoided can flow under the radar and into our lives. We can have a party attitude for a long time even when we know that we shouldn’t be so reckless. For some, what starts as harmless fun can slowly turn into something more serious, and that’s when rehab or professional support for drug addiction can make a real difference. If you’re having trouble breaking this circle then you might need to consider something like alcohol rehab to fully change your environment. You’ll be around people who also want to change their lives and stop being reckless. Thankfully, it’s like a normal place to live or visit and far from the stereotypical clinic-like approaches, some companies take. Head to Harley Street Alcohol Detox Organisation for more details.

If only we could pinch the back of the neck, pick ourselves up and place ourselves out of a bad environment with such ease. However, we know that not to be possible. You have to make the conscious choice of surrounding yourself with different people and changing the way you live.
