At the moment, I’m reading Jane Austen books. I don’t know why, I just had an itch to read them again. Jane Austen is a name that we instantly associate with literature. The name goes hand in hand with Regency excellence and the English countryside. It is also the go-to author for lovers of chick-lit as it fits a certain stereotype for female readers. Despite the literacy box that it has been shoved in, there is a certain magic behind the prose. And every time I read (or re-read) one of her books, my life turns upside down.

It was a hazy day in August when I started thinking about the upcoming school year. The kids have moved up to the next year and I was about to head back to working in the school. Since the end of June, when the schools shut their doors for the summer holidays, I had every day; a whole summer to myself. On this fateful morning, she was letting everyone know that she had just landed her dream job as a columnist for Grazia Magazine. And, do you know what my first thought was when I read this?
