The Beauty Edit || September 2018

The Beauty Edit is back for September and this month it is a bit smaller than usual. That’s because I’m focusing on a smaller amount of stuff rather than the mountain that I normally feature. This month I’m featuring some of my favourite products from the last while.

Soaper Duper Zesty Lemon Body Butter

Soaper Duper Zesty Lemon Body Butter || the beauty edit

This was my favourite body butter to use over the summer months and I only finished the massive tub this morning. This is a really thick and creamy body butter that is perfect for all year round use. I really liked it for after exercising because it really took the sting out of your skin when you sweat too much. It has an amazing fragrance that lasts for hours after you apply it.

Original Source Foaming Shower Gel in Lemon & Lime

If you have been here for a while, you will have seen my love for Original Source shower gel before. But this, this is something else. Not only does this tick off the usual happy points for me, but it is also fun to use too. I might sound like a bug child but I love having something fun to use in the shower. The fragrance of this foaming wonder is so fresh, it will definitely kickstart your morning for you.

Maria Nila Head and Hair Heal Masque

Maria Nila Head & Hair Heal Masque 250ml

You might remember this little beauty from Vegan Limited Edition Glossy Box from August. It didn’t take me long to get through this! This was a mild hair masque which meant I could use it every day. Or maybe my hair is just so damaged it needed a hair masque every day. I loved this and was gutted when it ran out. But did it make my hair grow any thicker? I actually think it did. My hair feels a lot thicker and looks longer after using it.

Victoria’s Secret Pink Party Party Let’s Pre-Glam Perfecting Sheet Mask

Cloth facemasks have been all the rage recently and everyone is getting on board with them. This one by Victoria’s Secret Pink was loads of fun to test out. Just pop on and let the mask do its magic. Unlike most facemasks, this one is great for using before you go out as part of your beauty prep routine before you head out.

Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser

Who needs a good cleanser for their face? *Everyone raises their hand* I thought so. This is a light cleanser that is great for every day use. I like to wash my face in the shower to help get my face in check for the day. Because it is a milk cleanser, there is no faffing about trying to rinse bubbles off your face. Just apply, massage, and rinse.

Novex Mystic Black Hair Mask

Mystic Black by Novex Deep Hair Mask 400g

Another hair mask? Seriously, what did you expect? My hair is bleached off me and I’m not a natural blue. This is another light hair mask that can be used every day. I really loved the packaging, there is something old-skool 1970’s about it. But it had a real old-skool smell about it too. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me about that, but it definitely done a great job of smoothing my hair.

Regenerate Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste

Regenerate REG001 Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste, 75 mL

This toothpaste claims that it can reverse the damage you have done to your teeth, and I still can’t back up that claim. But what I can tell you is that it was great for giving my mouth a good clean. It wasn’t overly foamy either so I could finally look like one of those girls from the toothpaste adverts that doesn’t dribble down the front of her pjs when scrubbing the gub.

Neal’s Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Body Lotion

If you haven’t guessed it by now, body lotion is one of my favourite products, an absolute can’t live without item to me. This one feels more like a fluid than a butter but is still great for your skin. This also had a very subtle scent that worked great all day long. I love that it was easy to melt into your skin and didn’t feel sticky.

Rituals Balancing Body Cream The Ritual of Ayurveda

Have you ever gotten a product and decided against buying it again because you aren’t sure how to pronounce it? I can’t pronounce this but that isn’t going to stop me from getting it again. This has got to be one of my favourite body creams that I have used in recent times (but don’t let that statement put you off the others, they are great too). This was thick, creamy and melted into your skin with a scent that lasted all day and took me to another place.

Green Frog Natural Body Wash in Relaxing Geranium & Peppermint

Believe it or not, this bottle has been lying in my empties bucket for months. Not even joking a little bit. But, despite lying in the bucket for months, I have fond memories of this little tube. This was a great wash for getting perked up in the morning, especially if you aren’t a morning person. This is also one of the greenest body washes that I have ever used too.
