I’ve been enjoying my virtual day trips so much, I’ve decided to think about actually taking a trip. Or, at the very least, heavily plan out a trip so I can spring into action the moment we can leave the house again. With this in mind, let’s take a look at Hampshire again.

For the new couple
When you get together with someone, everything is new and kinda awkward. You kind of wonder what other Hampshire singles are getting up to for date nights. Yes, I said date nights because being in a new couple can be hard enough without throwing a mini-break into the mix. If it was me, I would be happy to get a quiet night in the local pub with a few drinks and some chit-chat. The Wash House looks like it would be a particularly nice place to relax and get to know someone.
For the long term couple
After a couple of years together, you start to get comfortable with each other. You know a lot about each other and can be a bit more creative with some Hampshire dating spots. After a few nights (or weeks) of having sleepovers, you can feel comfortable enough to have a weekend away together. It doesn’t have to be a weekend away, locked in a hotel room, but the ability to travel a bit further from home to enjoy a new location and not worry about driving home in the dead of night.
For the honeymoon
Have you ever considered a staycation for your honeymoon? I couldn’t afford a “proper” honeymoon away, so me and the hubby decided on a weekend away instead. And it was a great trip. Without the hassle of travel, we were able to enjoy the trip a lot more. We only traveled a few hours away, arrived fresh, and were able to enjoy our stay. There is nothing nicer than getting to enjoy your trip from start to finish. It is not a popular opinion but I really think that having a honeymoon at home is the best way to start a marriage.
For the married couple with kids
Ok, I am officially this woman. I have too many kids and not enough money. So, if me and the hubby want some time away, a foreign holiday with a kids club is not an option. Instead we have to stay close to home and hope someone will offer to babysit my spawn for a day or two while we get a night away. That rarely happens; but when we do finally get the green light for a night away from home, I have a plan to maximize the enjoyment. First, we go to a spa hotel and have a nap. Then get dinner, have another nap, and then hit the bar. Once I’ve had a few drinks, back to the room and sleep. And, finally, have a spa day in the hotels spa and pool before I have a nap. Seriously peps, we have been married for years, we get more joy from a good night sleep more than anything.
