The bathroom is supposed to be the sanctuary of the home. It is a place we come to think over life’s big decisions, to sing in the shower, and to get a moment’s quiet from the kids. Our bathroom needs to be a clean and tidy place which is organised, clear and promotes a feeling of calm all year long. Here are some ways that you can make your home feel calmer and organised this year.

Textiles and tiles
The first way that you can create a stunning design and bring some comfort into a space is to mix tiles with textiles. We usually see the bathroom as a place for tiles and tiles alone, but you can often feel a little cold when you have only tiles surrounding you on the walls and the floor. To combat this, you can find a blank wall space and hang a tapestry which has your favourite colours. It will look amazing against the tiles underneath and will promote a sense of cosiness into the space.
Update the radiator
For a serene and stunning bathroom, you will want everything you see to be modern, sleek and simple from the get-go. If you have an old chunky radiator in your home, you can ask a plumber such as Mr Rooter Plumbing to come and replace it instead with a sleek chrome radiator which will give off an air of sophistication and will give you the perfect place to hang your towel after a shower or bath.
Plumb it in
If you have pipework on show all over the bathroom this isn’t going to do anything for your feeling of calm and serene when taking a bath. To make things look more organised and new, you can get an integrated system where the sink and toilet pipes are both fitted into a sleek cabinet system, meaning that you will never have to look at ugly pipes again. It can make the room feel so much cleaner and bigger. If you’re not sure quite how to get this done, you might want to reach out to a handyman in my area in Lenexa (or wherever it is you are) and have them fit your new system for you.
Keep it simple
There’s no need to worry about creating a complex interior design in the bathroom because it always seems to be much better for you if you keep things simple and straight to the point. A combination of marble tiles and copper fixtures can look stunning in the bathroom, as can a combination of brushed chrome and blue. Keep your design down to a minimum and find inspiration from interior design magazines if you are unsure of what you want. If you want to really upgrade your bathroom, you could always opt for a freestanding corner bath, as this will give you more space to add any additional accessories or features you may want to add.
Use reflections
Reflections can be the ideal thing for a bathroom to create a feeling of extra space, extra light, and calm. You can bring mirrors into the room in as many ways as you like and this will maximise that feeling of luxuriousness which we all long for when we take a relaxing bath. Using reflections in your bathroom allows the space to feel larger, lighter and more magical too, which can make your experience visiting this room much more special and relaxing every single time.
