Has anything good come out of the COVID-19 pandemic? Common opinion would suggest not. It has affected both the way we live and the way we work, and for many people, there have been terrible repercussions on health too. We are living through a difficult time, and we’re not quite out of the shadow of the pandemic yet.

However, while it’s easy to dwell on how awful life has been, it’s important to clutch onto those few positives that have come from the pandemic. While they shouldn’t be used to overlook the serious gravity of the situation the world is in, they should still be talked about, as we might feel better about life if we can talk about good things for a change. Here are some key examples.
#1: Improved community spirit
More than ever, people have been watching out for their neighbours. They have been delivering shopping to those who can’t leave their homes. They have been waving and saying hello from safe distances. And residents and shop workers have come together as one to keep each other safe during this difficult time. The pandemic has taught us to look outside of our own needs and onto the needs of others. Here’s hoping community spirit is maintained long after the pandemic is over.
#2: Incentive to change career
Many people have lost their jobs during the pandemic, and the impact of this has had many negatives. However, it has also given cause for people to assess their career plans, and in some cases, given them the incentive to start on new and more fulfilling journeys. Some people have started their own businesses, for example, using their home as their premises. Others have taken online courses to develop their talents and increase their qualifications in readiness for a career change. And some have found new ways to make money. COVID-19 has created the perfect landscape for a career in futures trading. For those people who have always hated their career, this has been the perfect time to assess their position and make the relevant changes.

#3: Increased focus on our health and wellbeing
The virus has given us all cause to place more focus on our health and wellbeing, and this is because we have become painfully aware of the consequences if we don’t. When the pandemic is over, we will hopefully continue with the good health habits that we have picked up over the last few months. From exercising more to finding ways to fend off harmful germs, we should all benefit from the health lessons we have learned from COVID-19.
#4: Time for family bonding
Thanks to the pandemic, we have had more time to spend with our children and partners at home. While close proximity can sometimes cause tension and arguments, it can also bring about a greater degree of bonding, especially after spending more time together playing games, having movie nights, and finding new ways to connect to one another.
Here’s hoping the pandemic ends soon. But until then, focus on the good that has come out of the situation, and keep these things in mind when the pandemic is over. In some ways, our lives will be improved if we stick to the positive things we have mentioned here, so continue to abide by them in the months and years to come.
