Glossy Box is my monthly beauty box of choice, and it’s not difficult to see why. Every month, the box is packed with plenty of treats. For October, things have been shaken up with the battle between unicorns and mermaids. What mystical side will you be on?
As normal, I have left links to my partners where you can buy these products or sign up to Glossy Box yourself. In return, I get a treat in the form of cold hard cash for my help.
If you are uncertain of these colours, don’t despair! There is a mountain of inspiration to be found on YouTube and Pinterest. Even just a gentle sweep of colour on your lids is enough to make your make up fun! Glossy Box had shared some ideas on their social media of how to create a unicorn or mermaid inspired look. This is not a mini palette that was in the box, but a full size with 12 magical colours.
I saw something on Twitter the other day and it made me chuckle, and then think about the problem. Girls who don’t use powder to set their makeup. The person who tweeted about it was curious about how these girls touch their faces, or if they do touch their faces during the day. Interesting question, but it posed a different problem. If these girls try to blend a powder blush without using powder, it’s going to stick and not blend. This creme to powder blush is an excellent way to blend a wee bit of blush without it sticking to your foundation.
Do you even get the feeling that this is going to be one of those things that you didn’t know that you needed? (Try saying that five times fast). This is a silicone egg which is covered in bumps on one side. The idea is that the bumps provide some gentle friction to help remover makeup from your brushes. And because it is silicone, it is really easy to clean. All you need is some dirty brushes, some water and some liquid soap to get your brush game back on top.
Eye Brow Pencil
Brows and lashes are the two things that you need to keep on fleek these days. Unfortunately, if you grew up in the 90’s, you probably have no eyebrows left. This little pencil is designed to make brows appear again and mimic the natural shading of your brows. This is perfect if you have patchy brows from over plucking or just want to define them a bit more.
I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of these types of creams. I’m a “one job for one product” kinda gal. But for those of you who like having a multi-tasking product will like this. This can be used on lips, cheeks, as a highlighter, as an eyeshadow….I actually think that you can use this for most things. Me? I’ll be using it on my lips. Although drunk me may experiment and try a full face with it one day.
And that is this months Glossy Box. What did you guys think? Did you get one? Let me know if you were Team Mermaid or Team Unicorn. If you fancy trying it out for yourself, then click here for my refer a friend link.
