It has been a hot minute since I’ve had a review on this site and what could be a better way to get back to it with some coffee. I’ve teamed up with the guys and gals at Batch Coffee to test their latest flavours.

Who are Batch Coffee?
Batch Coffee is a website that has a whole heap of coffee and related goodies to indulge your love of caffeine. And I don’t mean that they only sell coffee. They have guides to help you create the best tasting coffee that you have ever made in your own kitchen, a wide range of coffee varieties, and a ton of information about the coffees that they stock. As a coffee drinker, I enjoy getting to learn about the different ways to brew the dark stuff and create something tasty. These are not just vague guides that give you a little bit of information, I lost a day of my life searching through them and gained a lot of other information as a result.
What do they offer?
I’m so glad that you asked because they offer a lot! First of all, we have the option of the coffee delivered to your front door. But, if you are like me and you tend to forget your own head, you can set up a subscription so that you never run out of coffee. If this is something that you would be interested in, then check out their website because they have a ton of information on there. The information is not limited to the coffee subscription. As I mentioned earlier, they have a lot of information about coffee machine care and brewing techniques. But this is not just a big company that you can buy your beans from. The idea behind Batch coffee is that the beans and grounds that you buy come from smaller businesses and have the opportunity to reach more people. Think of it like an Esty or a marketplace for smaller coffee companies.
What did I get?
The peps over at Batch Coffee sent me a sample of what to expect from their subscription box and I was not disappointed. The coffee that arrived was tasty and easy to brew. It has been a while since I used coffee grounds (I invested in a Nespresso machine last year) and I forgot how relaxing and mindful the act of making coffee can be. Sure, it is great popping a pod in the machine and pressing a button, but having to wait and be mindful about the brewing process is a great way to ground yourself in the morning *bah dum tish!*
In the box, I received a bag of Amelio Santa Cruz II from Colombia and a bag of Gorilla from Uganda. As you can tell from the pictures, I didn’t wait to get my fingernails picture ready, I dived right in and got to the taste tasting. Both types of coffee when amazing and I was impressed by the different flavours from each of the brews. I will admit, the brew from Colombia was my favourite but they were both great (and I would drink both of them again). Overall, I was really happy and surprised by the quality and care that has been put into the Batch coffee box.
