After the success of my last Let’s Go post about looking for inspiration trips and days out, I have decided to look at another area, Berkshire. But what can you can get up to in the county that is home to Windsor Castle? What does the Queen do for fun? I have no idea, but it could be anything really. But I know what you can get up to.

Building things up
What trip to Berkshire would be complete without a trip to Legoland?! Can you imagine heading out for a date and ending up in Legoland? Berkshire dating must be a real laugh! And before you say anything, I know a guy who takes all his first dates to Legoland because, well why not. Apparently, it can be a great day out for the kids too.
Museums and old stuff
There are so many museums in Berkshire and that’s not a bad thing in my books. There is the Cole Museum of Zoology or the MERL Museum, both are filled with plenty of fun exhibits. But don’t forget about Windsor Castle, one of the homes of the Queen. When the Royals aren’t in (or maybe they are but we don’t see them) you can take a tour and marvel at the treasures that are hidden behind those walls.
Where the wild things are
If there is one thing that I love about England is the number of places that you can get up close with animals. Beale Park is on the banks of the River Thames. Berkshire singles can enjoy a day chilling out with some piggies. Or you can really walk on the wild side and visit the UK Wolf Conservation Trust. But if you fancy a chance to snuggle some sheep, then head to Lockey Farm and see how things go from farm to plate. No, really. There is a butcher’s block and everything! (Yikes!)
The Adventure Begins
Has anyone ever been up in the tree-tops? I did a while ago and it was awful because I am a complete chicken. But if that is your thing and you fancy kicking your dating in Berkshire experience up a notch, then read on. Go Ape allows you to climb through the tree-tops and fly down zip-wires. Or you could take your beloved for a spot of paintballing at Delta Force paintballing.
Family Time
As nice as it is to spend some time together as a couple, it is good to take the kids out for the day too. Wokingham Superbowl has ten pin bowling and laser quest to help keep the kids happy. But if you do go out as a couple, they have a licensed bar for the grown-ups. Or you can head to the Mad Hatters Pottery Painting Cafe. You can grab a proper cup of coffee while the kids paint you a new mug to drink it out of.
