Today, I had to give myself a bit of a shake. I’ve been being lazy with a lot of things, and the Easter holidays have a lot to do with it. But I had a dream last week (and every night since), and if that isn’t the Universe telling me to get off my backside and start living my dream life, I don’t know what is.

I had a dream…..
After a few nights of the same dream, I sat my husband down and had a chat about it. It was nothing strange or weird. I’ve had my fair share of those types of dreams over the years. This dream was, well, normal. The dreams were of a normal day. I got up, did some yoga, and I got the kids ready for school. After the school run, I gave the house a quick tidy, and got started on my work for the day. At 3 pm, I picked the kids up from school, made dinner, bathed the little ones, and then everyone went to bed. But then I woke up. The following night, the dream had the same setting, the same flow, the same vibes. It might sound boring, but it was so peaceful. This dream went on for 5 nights in a row, each one the same but slightly different. One dream started the same but once I dropped the kids at school, I went food shopping. Another dream started the same, but I went to a yoga class and got my lashes fixed when the kids had been dropped off at school. Can you see the pattern here? It was just daily life but kicked up a notch. A new level of comfort and financial abundance had been unlocked.

Living my dream life….
First things first, this dream is not my current reality for a long list of reasons. The main one being that I headed back to the workplace and I work with teenagers between the hours of 8:30 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. I’ve done this for a few reasons. The main being that I am working towards my teaching qualifications. The other being that I like having a monthly income that isn’t dependent on my writing skills (or lack of). I’ve been pretty honest recently about how AI has made a lot of copywriting jobs disappear, and with 4 kids, I need that security of a regular income. I don’t have the option of dropping the kids to school and then heading home to blog or work on a book. But there are things within those dreams that I currently do. A small example is getting my lashes fixed, this is something I do once a month. The level of care I gave my children was the same (maybe slightly better because I was at home all day) with daily baths and home cooked meals most nights. But there was this taste of being so close, it made me wonder why I am not going after this dream.
Making the dream a reality…..
After nearly a week of this dream, I had to ask myself, is this what I want to do? Do I want to go back to working from home, for myself? No agencies, no deadlines other than the ones I give myself. The answer was a huge YES! Of course I want to go back to this. I loved the freedom and the joy that came with creating content for my own site. There was something wonderful about making money for yourself. Unfortunately, over the last few years, I have neglected my site to the point of ruin. I used to post content at least once a day. the question is, can I get back to the point where my site is my main source of income again? How long will it take me to get to the point where I am living my dream life?
