Getting your small business up and running can be a tough job, and it is even tougher if you are kept busy with random tasks. So why waste your time with jobs that need to be done but could be completed by someone who specialises in the area? Here are three jobs you should outsource for your small business to help free up your time and let you get on with the things that matter.

Your accounting
Balancing the books of small business can be a full time job at times, especially if it is something you have never done before. It goes without saying that tax and correct payments are a top piroty when it comes to your accounts. It can take anywhere between 18 months to three years to become a qualified accountant. Why is this relevant? Because it shows that accounts are a lot of work and need a professional to complete them. If the timescale for becoming an accountant was only 6 weeks, every small business owner could take a course and be fully capable of handling those books. Of course, there are short courses and information on HMRC website to help guide you, but if your business is making serious money and your have employees, then you need to think about who can do the books for you.
Cleaning your workplace
Cleaning the place that you work can be one of the most annoying jobs there is. If you have a store, you have to make sure that your staff gives it a clean everyday before the public can come in. If you run a cafe or food place, it needs to be cleaned out everyday to ensure that food safety is not compromised. There are jobs that you can’t do yourself and need someone else to do. For example, your kitchen staff might be able to clean out the oven properly but when it comes to ductwork cleaning, this is a job that they can’t handle. Special cleaning jobs need a special crew because there is a chance that your special equipment can be broken if it is handled by someone without special training. This type of cleaning doesn’t have to be done very often but it helps to have a regular time to deal with it.
Recruitment
Finding people to work for you is really tough. The job market is hard and people might lie if they think they deserve the role. Using a recruitment expert or agency to help you find the right people can help narrow down the list of people that want to work for you. I’m not saying that everyone lies on their CV, I’m pretty sure a lot of people have fudged some details over the years. There are people who will completely fabricate their work history to get the job, and they can be difficult to spot. Keep in mind, if you think it is a great idea to lie on your CV, keep in mind it is illegal and considered a form of fraud. If you are trying to grow your business, you need the right people, so invest in some proper HR or a recruitment company to make sure that you don’t get stuck with an employee who will cost you more than their worth.
