Avengers: Infinity War is the latest installment of the Marvel Avengers movie franchise. This movie brings together many of the characters from the previous movies and mixes them together for what feels like a grand finale.

The Plot
2 years after the Avengers called it quits, the Earth is faced with the terror that is Thanos the Titan. He attacks the home of the Nova Corps and takes the Power Stone before he destroys the ship that is carrying the refugees from Asgard, taking the stone that was hidden within the Tesseract. Thanos is on a mission to collect all of the stones to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and kill half of the universe with a click of his fingers. The Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman, Dr Strange, and the armies of Wakanda join together to fight against Thanos and his forces across the Universe.
Thoughts on the Story
The movie feels like it is the beginning of the end for the franchise and that it is building to something big. Although we have had Avengers movies before, this is by far the biggest. There was only a couple of characters missing from the movie (Antman and Hawkeye as far as I could tell) so it was a really packed cast. The story is very fast moving and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get caught up with the previous movies before watching this so that you get all of the references (not that I need to give you a reason to binge-watch all the movies). There are a few times that you might shout at the screen because certain egos get in the way and put the universe in danger.
Fin
I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone, so I won’t mention the ending. But I will say, I am shocked with how it ended, as are most people. But we have been promised that it will be leading on to something else. Avengers 4 is set to be released in May 2019 so we will find out if, er, everything sticks *wink wink*. If you are a Marvel fan, then you should watch this movie. If you have never watched the other movies, this one might not make much sense to you.
