Having your own business is hard. There is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes that make the wheels go around. What is a redesign?
Simply put, everything that your customers see is part of the design. This is everything from your logo to your website, even the products and services you offer could be included. For example, you might have noticed that big brands change their logos every so often? Certain businesses change their product lines to fit with today’s consumer. 20 years ago, the idea that big burger chains would be selling vegan burgers and salads was laughable, but here we are. Getting your head around what to change can be tough so it helps to have an expert talk you through what changes to make. Redesigns happen all the time in order to keep a brand fresh. This does not mean that you have to throw every aspect of your business design out and start again, it just needs some tweaks here and there.
Your website
If there is one thing that I know, it is that your website has to be fit for purpose. Over 2 billion people worldwide shop online, there are nearly 5 billion internet users. That means that your website could reach nearly 5 billion people. And, many of these people use their mobile devices to access the web. Do not shoot yourself in the foot and neglect your website. Using mobile app ui ux design to help make it as accessible as possible will ensure that the traffic keeps coming your way. The internet is an important part of our daily lives, so make sure you provide the best user experience. Redesign your business website to make sure it is pretty to look at and easy to use.
Your products and services
Changing the type of products and services that you offer can be a tough one but if you are not attracting the customers that you want, you might be selling the wrong things. For this example, I’m going to use shoes. Now, as you know, everyone needs shoes, from toddlers to older folk. But the needs of each age group will differ. If you want to target young women with money to spend on shoes, then having most of your stock for older men isn’t going to help you. I’m not saying that you need to get rid of that group, you will need to get some products that will get those women in the door or on your site. You might need to redesign your business stock and services slightly to get the customers that you want or to grow your customer base.
Your marketing
Sometimes you might have the best website and the right products, but something is off. Marketing is a HUGE part of selling your wares. The great thing about marketing is that it is very fluid and can be adapted as much as you need to. Maybe social media hasn’t been working for you but an ad in the local paper will. Or maybe sponsoring an event will give you that needed push into the limelight. Take time to assess if your current plan has been working for you. However, you should remember, it can take 90 days to see any difference in what you are doing when it comes to marketing, so make sure you give it enough time to make it’s mark.
As you can see, there are a few simple ways that you can redesign your business to make it more profitable. Take some time and see if there are some changes that you can make that will take your business to the next level.
