The best things in life are free or so they say. This issue of the beauty edit I’m showcasing some products that are freebies, so I have either been sent or have got my mitts on for free somehow. Otherwise they have been a bargain from somewhere.

Desigual Fun

Desigual Fun Eau de toilette for woman 30 ml
When I heard about this new perfume, I was so excited! The new Desigual range comes in three different scents and I was sent Fun to try out. This is a really nice everyday scent that isn’t overpowering. I have a real thing for sandalwood so this mixed with cranberries, nashi pear, violet and passionfruit, has gone down really well with me. The bottle is really cute and as a bonus, it fits in the random pouch inside your handbag that nobody really knows what to do with, so it doesn’t fly around the inside of your bag. Result!
Beauty Sponge

Pro Beauty Makeup Sponge Blender Flawless Smooth Shaped Water Droplets Puff
I had tested out the proper blender in a previous review but it is a bit pricey. So I saw this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try to see what the difference was, and if it was necessary to spend so much on a make-up sponge. Unlike the Beauty blender, this one does not expand when you get it wet. It stays very solid compared to the other. It looks like a Beauty Blender, it’s the fraction of the price, but that is where the similarities end. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good little sponge but compared to the real deal, it falls short.
TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner

TRESemme Moisture Rich Conditioner Luxurious Moisture 500ml
TRESemme Moisture Rich Luxurious Moisture Shampoo – 500 ml
I have mentioned this before in previous reviews, but I may as well bring it up again. My daughter has the worst hair. It is thick and course, she can barely get a brush through it, and we tend to try out loads of different hair products in order to tame the mane. I found that these two worked together well for my hair, even the shampoo by itself left my hair sleek and shiny. But what did the pre-teen think? She loves it. Not only is her hair softer and more manageable, but doesn’t look as fizzy either.
L’Occitane En Provence Hand Cream

L’Occitane – Peony (Pivoine) Flora Hand Cream – 30ml/1oz
I love this hand cream! Because I work all day with my hands, I like to use a lot of hand cream to help keep them soft. But I hate a gloopy cream that takes forever to dry. This hand cream is one of my favorite brands. The cream is thick and rubs in well. The scent is good and lasts for a good while longer than other creams. And the dinky little bottles are vintage inspired. This one is a floral inspired cream with peony extracts from Drome, France. So it looks good in the bathroom, smells great, and does what it is supposed to, what’s not to love?
Neal’s Yard Body Lotion

Neal’s Yard Bee Lovely Body Lotion 295ml
This is another brand that I am a big fan of. Neal’s Yard using no synthetic fragrances or colours in their products. And there is no parabens, no propylene glycol, no silicones, no phthalates, no GM or EDTA. In a nutshell, natural goodness and no nasty chemicals. When I read the back of the bottle I saw that a good lot of the ingredients were organically produced, something that a lot of companies out there can’t say. Anyway, this cream is part of the Bee Lovely campaign to help save the honey bee. The scent is inspired by the bee and the flowers that they like. It’s a good all round body cream to keep your skin soft that helps save the world too.
Ren Skincare

Face by REN Clean Skincare Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream 50ml
Face by REN Clean Skincare V-Cense Revitalising Night Cream 50ml
Face by REN Clean Skincare Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel 15ml
I wasn’t sure what to make of this little set because it looks boring. I know, I’m terrible. But on reading up about them, they are pretty good little products. Just like the Neal’s Yard stuff, these products have a list of things that they don’t have including parabens, sulphates and mineral oil. Actually, there is an entire list of things that they don’t use. I really liked the daily moisturising cream and the eye gel, but the night cream had the most horrible smell! But, it has to be one of the best night creams that I have ever used. I would happily put up with the smell every night to have a fresh face in the morning, it’s that good. This may have been a little freebie pack that I got my mitts on but I will buying the full-size versions of them.
Remescar

Remescar Silicone Scar Cream for Stretch Marks 100 ml
Is everyone ready for pictures of my belly again? No? Tough. The wrinkly tummy from Hell is being displayed for your viewing displeasure again. This was sent to me for feedback, and I have to say that I was impressed.
It might not look like much from those photos but the redness from my tummy has nearly disappeared and the stretch marks aren’t as deep. Believe me, they were terrible during the summer. In fact, here is a picture of my tummy a few months ago.
That was before and after picture I done for another product which was for weight loss. The thing is, I’m testing out a new fitness programme, which I will be posting the results of soon (hopefully) so I have lost a bit more weight. When I lost weight in the past, the tummy has just sagged really far and looked terrible. This cream has really helped to maintain the tightness of the skin and repair the damage. Trust me, if it wasn’t for this cream I would have a tummy flap that I can tuck into my knickers. If I wasn’t working out, the results would be more noticeable because there would still be a bit of fat around my tummy.
Balance Me Face Wash
I seem to have collected a lot of my favourite brands for this round of the beauty edit. I always wash my face at the end of the day to help remove make-up and general dirt of the day. This is a thick cream that gives a gentle lather. It’s not all bubbles and smell. The lack of bubbles allows the cream cleaner to get into your pores and remove the nasty gunk of the day. One of the things that I love about Balance Me is the fact that they try and keep their products as natural as possible. This face wash is 99% natural and really kind to your skin.
