April has been a busy month with the London Marathon and multiple birthdays. So it’s not surprising that I nearly forgot to do my Glossy Box unboxing for this box. The shame! This month’s box was all about nostalgia and inspiration from past generations.
As usual, there are affiliate links here so if you choose to buy something, I get a commission. You can also subscribe to Glossy Box yourself and get these treats direct to your door every month.
Carmex Lip Balm
I remember when Carmex only came in a minty flavour in a little pot. I hated it. But now it comes in strawberry flavour in a tube. Carmex has always been great (I just wasn’t keen on the old mint taste) so now that it is in a tube is a godsend in my book. This one also has SPF15 so it will be great to use over the summer.
Modellauncher Safari Bronzer
Back in the 90’s, safari bronzers were the thing to have because it was one of the first bronzers for all complexions. It was a big thing at the time, just trust me on this. These days, there are loads of products for all complexions but the safari bronzer has never really gone away. This is a new and improved version of what was in every girl’s make-up at school.
Affect Cosmetics Matt Effect Transparent Loose Rice Powder
I have only gotten the nack of banana powder and now we have rice powder! This is slightly different. Banana powder helped with skin discolouration, rice powder absorbs oils to give a matt finish. It can also be used to set your foundation as well as your lipstick without leaving you with a cakey look. One of the best ways to apply it is with that flat fan brush that you got in that brush set and didn’t know what to do with it.
Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Baked Blush
This blush is a Glossy Box exclusive that doesn’t have a release date…OMG! This is a cute little pot of blush that will highlight and pigment your skin all day long. This is another multi complexion pot that will suit all skin tones. Simply sweep across your cheekbones, brow bones and eyelids for a glamorous glow.
Eyeko London FAT Liquid Eyeliner
Winging your eyeliner has become one of the hottest trends in recent years as people take inspiration from the 60’s and 70’s for wings that are on point. This FAT liner gives you the precision of a pen with the glide of a liquid that sets like a gel.
