Whether you are just starting out or you have been in business for years, using intuition can help take your business to the next level! Utilising intuition as part of my business strategy has helped me for nearly 3 years now, so I’m going to share how I’ve done this in the hopes it can support you too.
What is intuition?
Intuition to me is an unconscious knowing. It’s that feeling you get in your gut or the hunch you have about something. It’s different from logic or reasoning because it’s a knowing that comes from beyond the rational mind. Intuition is a powerful tool that can help you make better decisions, and achieve success in your business ventures.
Sometimes we can overthink decisions, choices and even relationships – someone has to take the wheel in a world where we have a lot going on. I find that leaning on my intuition rarely steers me wrong, as it’s still aligned with who I am and what I want for the world around me.
Instinct vs Intuition
What is the difference between instinct and intuition? Well, instinct is more of a survival mechanism, and it’s based on past experience. Intuition is a higher level of consciousness that can help you see beyond your current circumstances. It’s based on present information and future potential. When you use intuition in business, you are tapping into a higher level of awareness that can help you make better decisions.
How to make intuitive vocation decisions
First off, know yourself. What are your values and what are your goals here? Knowing these, believing in these, and working towards this help make intuitive choices lighter – you trust yourself to make decisions for your “greater good”. When you’re clear on what you desire, and what steps will help get you there – it’ll be easier to make business choices that reflect those.
Secondly, take some time out for yourself. This can look like taking regular breaks throughout the day to connect with your intuition, or setting aside some time each week to meditate or do some yoga. And finally, listen when a decision needs to be made. “This feels good” and “This feels more of what I want” are great ways to determine that your intuition is being listened to.
An example of this is if a job opportunity comes up, and it’s a lot more money than what you’re on now, but it means working longer hours. Intuitively it’s a no, because you’ll work longer hours away from your family, and quality family time is something you do not want to neglect.
So whilst you may spend more time contemplating what the money can do if you’re not with your family celebrating that money then what is the point? Your intuition lines up with what is right for you.
Top three intuitive tools to help bring in more success
I’d love to share with you three really great ways to develop your intuition as well as utilise it in your chosen vocation. This isn’t an exhaustive list, and I encourage you to research to your heart’s content on this – I’d also love to hear any ideas that you have too!
- Work with the Moon phases; The Moon is a powerful intuitive tool that can help you make decisions based on how you’re feeling. When the Moon is in a certain phase, it can influence our emotions and energy levels. If you know what the Moon is up to, you can use this information to your advantage! For example, if you’re feeling low on energy, it might be a good idea to schedule a business meeting for another day. Gardeners have been “planting with the Moon” for a very long time, and having this connection with the Universe can help you build more trust with yourself.
- Bring tarot as a practice into weekly planning; You don’t have to be spooky to be successful! Tarot is a fantastic tool for self-reflection and guidance, but with its structured meanings, it can provide some incredibly practical advice too. This sort of structured guidance can be beneficial in planning for your wellbeing, providing insight into how you will manage business tasks, and giving you confidence in your decisions.
- Read your business horoscope, or even better – get a business astrology reading done! If you know the date your business was created or the start date of your role, it can help you understand what energies are at play in your business, and how you can use them to your advantage. There is a lot of information out there on business astrology, so it’s definitely worth doing some research on this one. As someone who specialises in business astrology, I’ve seen how knowing certain placements have people develop their content strategies, their branding colours and tone of voice, and even get inspired for long-term goals!
I could honestly talk about these topics all day, as I absolutely love divination (whether tarot or astrology or more)! I hope this has inspired you to develop your intuition for business purposes and given you some practical tools to utilise in your success magick.
