3 Ways to Boost Your Income Like a Boss

It would always be nice to make a bit more money, wouldn’t it? Even if you already make enough to make the ends meet – an income boost means more to spend on what you enjoy rather than just paying the same old bills every month. It is, however, easier said than done and you’re not going to make it happen unless you actually put in some effort.

Here are a couple of brilliant ways to boost your income this month in case you’re up for the challenge. It won’t necessarily make you super rich while you’re sleeping, but it could definitely come in handy if you’d like to save a bit more or just have some extra money to spend on holiday this summer.

#1 Put some work into a side gig

The dream is, of course, to be able to make a massive income while doing absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, this is a luxury you can only enjoy when you’re already super rich and the only thing you can think of buying with your money is more money. We’re not quite there yet, are we? The best way to make more money is, therefore, simply to work for it.

Get an extra job that’s low-effort and that you’re able to do on the side, such as freelancing by doing photography or writing and even driving for Uber or Lyft.

The money you make from this should either be invested or put into a high-interest account – although you’re better off investing it these days if you’d like to see some actual growth. Check out betterment IRA if you’re not too confident in the investment game, by the way, as it can take care of everything for you.

#2 Sell your stuff online

Selling your things is not exactly a job you can have on the side unless you’re thinking about selling everything you’ve got. Have this idea as a way of making a bit extra when you really need it, such as before a big holiday or when you simply have way too much stuff.

There are a lot of places online where you can sell your things without paying anything to the site, so have a look around the web and remember to give yourself a bit of time as it’s not always going to sell itself in a few hours. It’s a good idea to put this money aside as well, though, unless you really need it right away so that you’re able to make a bit more money off your stuff.

#3 Do social media for businesses

Businesses all over the world are realizing the importance of social media but many of them have no idea what they’re doing. That’s where you come in – although you should be quite familiar with the different platforms before accepting any jobs. When you know the game, it’s a really simple job that can make quite a lot of money as you only have to create some kickass posts and make sure they’re published at the right time.
Do remember not to undersell yourself, though, as many of these businesses will try to take advantage of young people who, undeniably, know more about social media than others.

Never accept any work unless they pay you – even if they try to tempt you with paid projects in the future. It just means that they see zero value in the work you do and they’re not going to change their minds about it.
