Rate me, date me || Online Dating

online dating

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about dating, marriage and everything in-between. And I can’t help think about how the world is changing for women. Is online dating making it easier for women to meet the one?

Back in the day, as I like to call it, when I was free and single, meeting men was hard. Correct, I probably met loads of men, but were they good men? Did we have the same interests? What was the craic with them? These things can cause a lot of problems if you don’t have the same interests. I can’t help but wonder, is online dating streamlining the process or is it taking the mystery out of dating?

I see older people complain a lot about how online dating is completely sucking the fun out of the dating game. They complain about learning about someone through an app instead of a conversation. But that is the point. Instead of worrying if the person in the bar is single, you can go online and find someone who has the same interests and is looking for the same type of relationship. Senior dating is one of the tricky areas. What if you meet someone and the fact that you have grown-up children is a dealbreaker for them?

Location is another big factor for dating. Let’s say, for example, you live in London but are relocating. There is no point looking for love in London then, is there? So, if you are moving to Belfast, you need a Belfast dating agency. If you are moving to Berkshire, you need a Berkshire dating agency. See how that works better for you and your dating choices?

I’m going to give you an example of how this sort of location service is important. I know a couple of guys, one is single and the other is divorced. One has kids, the other doesn’t. At the moment, they are house sharing but pretty soon they will be going their separate ways. One is really into motorbikes and racing, the other is training as a surgeon. Both of these guys are relocating.  The trainee doctor is moving from my street to Fife and the motorbike mad is spending a lot of time over in the Isle of Man with the racing. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn’t they be focusing on getting a date in those areas? Why would the doctor what a date in Ireland when he could be looking at the  Fife dating scene? And should motorbike mad not be better looking at the Isle of Man dating scene?

The dating game has changed and it is easier to meet people who like the same things that you do. You can narrow it down to any age, any location, with any type of character that suits you.
