Glossy Box is one of the most popular beauty boxes in the UK. I have been receiving my subscription for the last year and have rarely been disappointed. This month means back to school for the kids and getting organized for me. But what does Glossy Box have in it to help me with that?
As usual, there are links on this page which take you to my partner sites and you can buy these products or sign up to Glossy Box. If you do, I get a little sumthin’-sumthin’ for sending you their way.
Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer
When this was revealed in one of the Glossy Box sneak peeks, I thought my Facebook was going to go into a meltdown! This appears to be a favourite among the ladies for its brow taming abilities. There were plenty of girls who had the brow tamer already but were really excited to be being another tube! If that doesn’t scream confidence in a brand, I don’t know what will! This is a clear gel so it will work with your natural colouring (or dyed brows) and hold them in place.
MONU Skincare Firming Fiji Facial Oil
I don’t know where you are in the world, but in Northern Ireland the winters are awful. It rains a lot, it’s very cold, but not cold enough for it to snow, just chap the face off you with the wind. Do you know what all of that adds up to? Wrinkles and burst blood vessels in your face. This is a firming facial oil which contains Bois de Rose and Patchouli essential oils to calm skin. Facial oils have been called your skins best friend and this is definitely true coming into the winter months.
Taylors 32 Whitening Toothpaste
I’m not going to lie, this toothpaste is not the nicest tasting in the world. But, it has to be one of the best that I have ever used. Picture this, I had the cold and my mouth was gross. We are talking a layer of ick on the roof of your mouth that feels a bit fuzzy. You know what I’m talking about. And you know how hard it is to get that crud out of your mouth. One brush using this toothpaste (and nothing else) completely cleared the ick from my mouth and gave me a slight sense of taste again. That is pretty amazing for an all-natural toothpaste.
SkinFix Hand Repair Cream
This dinky little tube of cream is perfect for the winter. The school run can be harsh on the hands, especially in the winter. This little tube can easily be kept in the car or your handbag. This is not a cheap cream but it does an amazing job of helping to heal skin that has been battered by the elements. It’s also good for skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.
STYLondon, Siligel Blender
This strange looking little jelly pad has been all the rage recently. You couldn’t swing a cat on Facebook and YouTube without seeing someone giving a demo. This is a silicone gel pad with smooths foundation and cream onto your skin like a plasterer would work on a wall. I know that is not the nicest image to think of when thinking about makeup application, but it’s probably the most accurate. The gel blender skims your skin with foundation, leaving no streaks behind.
I love when we get a little treat in our Glossy Box! This month’s little extra treat was a Kinder Bueno. This had nothing to do with the box other than it was a treat for September. For me, this is about getting those extra delicious points (aka calories) in for walking up and down the road.
