I love when little parcels pop through my front door. It’s even better when that little parcel has a beauty product in it. But what is even better is when someone gets me a smelly bag. Yes, that is what I like to call a bundle of cosmetics and beauty products. A smelly bag. This month’s beauty edit has some samples, freebies, and some gifts from a smelly bag.
Beauty Edit #1 Neal’s Yard Body Lotion
Neal’s Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Body Lotion 200ml
I am a huge fan of Neal’s Yard products so I was really excited when I spotted a magazine giving them away as a free gift. I can’t remember which magazine it was but I think it might have been In Style. Anywho, that’s not really important. The important thing is, magazines are still giving out freebies and I’m not ashamed to admit, I only buy them for the freebies and any recipes that might be hidden in the back pages. I’m a big fan of orange and orange scented stuff so this is going to go down as a real treat with me.
Beauty Edit #2 Batiste Dry Shampoo
Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical, 200ml
This lovely item was a gift from by bestie from my baby shower. As well as getting me a ton of baby stuff, she presented me with a mummy present too. In the bag there was headache tablets, coffee, and a bundle of beauty products. Seeing as a lot of the stuff in the bag was “practical”, I will assume this was included to be useful in the mornings for the school run. Or she is thinking that my vintage styles need some volume. Either way, she isn’t wrong. Batiste is considered one of the top dry shampoos to use but I haven’t actually tried it yet. I know, shame on me!
Beauty Edit #3 Inecto Hand Cream
Inecto Pure Coconut Hand and Nail Cream 75ml
Inside my mummy bundle from my bestie was this hand cream too. I love coconut beauty products so I’m really excited to use this stuff. Hand cream is one of those things that I seem to take forever using so it will be a while before you see this featured in an empties post. Or I could surprise myself and use it really quickly because I like the smell so much? Time will tell. What I can tell you is this, this cream is more natural than a lot of the other creams that I have been using so I am hoping for good results.
Beauty Edit #4 Simple Skincare wipes
Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, 25 Pieces – Pack of 6
I have been testing a lot of skincare wipes recently and managed to get my mitts on this little packet for free. These are a new formula from Simple Skincare and they promise to be more efficient, but just as gentle than their previous wipes. I’m pretty interested to see how these will compare against the wipes I have tested in the past. Will they be able to cope with the amount of makeup that I wear? Or will they stumble and fall? Only time will tell for these.
